Kalimpong Cottage . Coverack Headland . Coverack . Cornwall .

Coverack Headland is our coastal bolt hole – a great place for beachcombing, stargazing, walking, fishing, silent nights, chilling out and generally re-charging the soul. It is our home by the sea, but when we can’t be there we’re making it available to our friends and family.

The house is part of the estate surrounding the former Edwardian Headland Hotel, a classic building which has been converted into a number of select apartments and cottages. The property occupies a stunning cliff-top position at Chynhalls Point, high above the picturesque fishing village and former smuggling haunt of Coverack in the Lizard Peninsula. Once the site of spectacular shipwrecks, you’re now more likely to spot whale sharks, seals and seabirds (the sea surrounds the property on three sides).

The cottage has access to a private, safe, tidal beach, reached by short footpath, and there are also extensive grounds to explore complete with a romantic secret garden, orchard and tennis court.

Located at the southernmost tip of the UK, the journey, for us, has become part of the process of winding down (who needs airports?!).
